Enter/Exit. Trauma-Informed Praxis for Visual Journalism and Beyond
Enter/Exit is a toolking originally intended for visual journalists working with individuals in the aftermath of trauma — although it can offer valuable insights to a wide range of practictioners and perspectives. Its framework is best suited for longer-form, slow journalism and potrait work. A trauma-informed approach is a practice to be embodied and employed based on the needs and demands of each particular situation and individual; practicing a trauma-informed approach ultimately leads to better, more accurate storytelling and takes concrete steps in the direction of protecting and caring for the practitioner and the participants involved.
